Deep, uniform penetration welds throughout the chassis ensure that the structures are fused securely to provide a strong platform for the wheelhouse and buckets. The quality of Cat LHD chassis design and manufacturing has been proven by our customers, many of whom reuse the chassis during machine upgrades for 2nd and 3rd life of their loaders.

COUPLING The spaced-apart pivot design emphasizes the distance between the upper and lower hinge plates, distributing effort and increasing bearing life. Thicker hinge plates reduce deformation. The wide opening facilitates access for maintenance. Upper and lower hitch pins pivot on roller bearings to distribute horizontal and vertical loads over a larger area. Preload adjusted to the shims reduces maintenance time. An on-board steering lock pin prevents articulation during maintenance and service.
